Please familiarize yourself with the competition before participating in the race.

 

Standard distance

- Men and women 18 years of age or older on December 31, 2025

- Men and women who can complete the race within the time limit. [45 minutes from the start to the end of the swim and 3 hours and 45 minutes from the end of the run.]

 

Sprint distance

- Men and women 16 years of age or older on December 31, 2025

- Men and women who can complete the race within the time limit. [25 minutes from the start to the end of the swim and 2 hours from the end of the run.]

Standard distance

-19 years old and under: 1st to 3rd place for men and women in each age group

-20 years old and older: 1st to 3rd place for men and women in each 5-year age group

Sprint distance

-19 years old and under: 1st to 3rd place for men and women in each age group

-20 years old and older: 1st to 3rd place for men and women in each 10-year age group

JTU-approved triathlon event insurance will be taken out.

The Organizing Committee's compensation for injuries during the competition will be covered by the insurance policy purchased at the event.

No compensation will be provided for equipment and facilities.

About the race

  • The JTU competition rules and local rules apply.

  • The judges and competition staff may have no choice but to stop the race  for safety reasons.

  • Wetsuits and road racers or triathlon-specific vehicles are required to compete.

  • The use of race number belts is recommended. (Safety pins will not be distributed  for race safety reasons.)

  • Once an athlete has been confirmed for the Age Group Para triathlon, he/she will not be able to transfer to the Elite Group Para triathlon. However, it is  not possible to transfer participation in the Age Group Para triathlon to the Age Group Para triathlon after the Elite Group Para triathlon has been confirmed.

  • There are separate World Triathlon (TRI) and Japan Triathlon Union (JTU) entry criteria for entry into the Elite Para triathlon.

Cancellation Policy

  • In the event of cancellation for personal reasons or if the race is cancelled due to earthquake, windstorm, flood, incident, accident, epidemic, etc., the entry fee will not be refunded in accordance with the agreement.

  • Even for those who cancel, player-supplied items will be delivered by mail after  the race.

  • All declinations must be sent by e-mail. Please note that telephone calls will not be accepted.

  • Entry rights cannot be transferred to a third party.
     

Handling of Personal Information

  • The organizer recognizes the importance of personal information, complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other related laws and regulations, and handles personal information in accordance with the organizer's personal information protection policy.
    The information will be used for the purpose of improving services to the participants of the event and for providing information on the event and preparing materials related to the event. In the event that the organizer receives a request for information from a government agency, etc., the organizer will, at its discretion, use the information for other purposes or provide it to a third party without the consent of the individual.

     

Video and photographs taken during the event

  • The event staff and various members of the media will take photographs of the event.
    The footage and photographs taken may be used on websites, posters, promotional  materials, and information media created by the organizer.
    They may also be published, broadcast, or distributed on websites, newspapers, magazines, and other  media approved by the organizers.
    Please be aware of this beforehand.

     

Transfer of eligibility

  • Substitute entries or transfers of rights at the event are not permitted (relay member changes are permitted). If such an action is found, the participant will be disqualified. In such cases, the organizers will not provide any compensation or refund. Both the transferee and the transferee will be reported to the Japan Triathlon Union (JTU), and the transferee may be disqualified from participating in other events as well.

”WTCS Yokohama” aims to be a “global environmentally friendly triathlon”. In order to achieve this goal, WTCS Yokohama is working to offset CO2 emissions by converting the CO2 emissions generated by the transportation of participants to and from the venue into monetary values and utilizing carbon offset credits.
 
At the same time, we contribute to the promotion of the SDGs by making donations to organizations that are working to promote the SDGs.
 
This initiative has been implemented by donation for environmental conservation and SDGs from the race participants, ”WTCS Yokohama” continue its implementation.
